Feet Modelling - Joe the Echidnafox

Okay, now to begin a long multi-part tutorial on how to make custom Sonic style sprites. These tutorials will focus on modelling only, as we already have tutorials on how to shade.
Next, we'll continue with feet. The size of the feet will depend on which style you intend your sprites to be in. The Genesis styles use bigger sprites than the GBA styles, so the Genesis heads will be bigger. This tutorial will use the size of Advance and Battle sprites. We'll be making bare feet, shoes, skates, and boots in this tutorial.

First of all, we'll want to make a 6 pixel tall by 7 pixel wide circle, which should be almost flat on the bottom. Next to it, add another one that is wider and almost triangluarish. The second one you made CAN however, be the same size as the other shoe if the character is in a front or back view.

Next, is the decision on wether or not to make bare feet, shoes, skates, or boots. To make bare feet, make 3 or 5(This number depends on the number of toes your haracter has) circle shapes that appear on the inner bottom of the circle on the small shape, and only 1 on the other that extends 1 pixel out of the shape.(Unless it's a front view). Now, on the side viewish foot, mak a small indent near the bottom middle. Also make the area above and behind the toes appear bigger than he toes. I can't exactly explain this right, so just look at the image provided. Add some designs(Or leave hem bare).
As for shoes, keep them the same shape you made earlier, but add the designs in. Also add a 5 pixel wide by 3 pixel tall rounded oval shape for socks if you want.

Skates are similar to shoes, but like bare feet, have a indent on the bottom, and the soles extend farther than the tip of the shoe.

Boots are also similar to shoes, but have the upper portion extended to cover the legs a bit.
Finally, clean up any uneeded pixels, fix minor things, and start shading, and you'll have your own shirts, jackets, and dresses!
