Tails Body - Izzy Goldrunner

Before the tutorial starts, a brief note. This is a modelling workshop and as such, it will not show how to make one specific art piece, but instead pose different bodyparts from different angles using different techniques. As such, the work will be unshaded to show the structure of the work, and it will be up to you to practice this knowledge and apply it to your own artwork.

Make a small oval and a round circle underneath. Note that I shape my circles when I make them simply because Paint does not make perfect circles. Shaping the circles that the circle tool makes is a great way to train your eye to see individual pixels that can make all the difference in a pixel art piece.

Connect the two circles.


Erase the inside parts of the oval and circle. I also did a little shaping of the body.


Do more shaping and you should end up with an egg shaped creation.


For his fur tuft and belly fur, just make what looks like a pineapple shape and paste it on top of your already existing eggshape. The last body shows a little extra shaping I did.
